DIRECTOR OF THE INSTITUTE OF IMMUNOLOGY AND ALLERGOLOGY OF THE NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY NAMED O.O. THE PRAYER

She began her path to science in 1970, when she entered her alma mater’s residency. Since that time, he has been engaged in scientific developments in the field of pediatrics, immunology, in particular, research into immuno-dependent human pathology.

Since 1974 – an assistant, since 1989 – an associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine. In 1994, Vera Yevstafievna was appointed the head of the pediatric clinical immunology course of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology, and in 2006 – the professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology. Since 2008, she has been the director of the Institute of Immunology and Allergology of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets, Ministry of Health of Ukraine. V.E. Kazmirchuk is the author of about 280 scientific works published in Ukraine and abroad, 7 monographs, 25 patents and 5 authorship certificates. She participated in 46 conferences, congresses and congresses, prepared 22 methodological developments on the problems of clinical immunology. Published the first manual on children’s clinical immunology in Ukraine (1999), developed the vaccination passport for the first time in Ukraine (1996). In 2006, she published the first Ukrainian-language textbook on clinical immunology and allergology, republished in Russian, which received the diploma “Best educational publication in medicine” at the 5th international competition “University book – 2010”. In 2012, the third edition of “Clinical Immunology and Allergology with Age Features” was published. Vira Yevstafievna also made a significant contribution to the development of world medicine. Thus, for the first time in the world, she proved the effectiveness of immunoglobulin therapy for the prevention of infectious complications in hypoimmunoglobulinemia in young children; developed regulations for obtaining the preparation of 16% immunoglobulin; proven immunosuppressive activity of Diphenhydramine; created a clinical classification of dysfunctions of the immune system, which was published in 1990 at the international congress in Tartu; the open etiological role of Epstein-Barr virus infection in the development of chronic granulomatous lung disease (sarcoidosis); a clinical classification of herpesvirus neuroinfections was developed. Vera Yevstafievna is a member of the faculty academic council, the specialized academic council “Cardiology” and “Rheumatology”, a member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), the Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (AAKI), the Union of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists of the CIS. Vocation and purpose in life of V.E. Kazmirchuk – the desire and ability to help people, and the greatest personal pride – a unique method of treatment and immunorehabilitation of cancer patients.
